Briefing to the Incoming Minister Released

The Minister for Land Information has released the Briefing to the Incoming Minister (pdf 412KB) produced by LINZ in November 2008.

The briefing introduces LINZ and sets out the strategic issues the department faces. Section B outlines LINZ’s responsibilities, which are covered in more detail in the Statement of Intent 2008-09 and the Annual Report 2007-08. Section C provides a brief description of LINZ’s regulatory role, a list of the legislation that LINZ administers, its statutory officers and boards and the operational decisions that the Minister is required to make.
