LINZ Appoints New CIO

Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) has appointed Russell Turner to the position of Chief Information Officer (CIO).

Russell joins LINZ from the MetService, where he is currently the CIO and a member of MetService's executive team.

Russell has more than 25 years' experience spanning the IT function, including over 10 years' experience in senior management.

He joins LINZ in the new year, and will have overall responsibility for LINZ’s IT group operations and strategy. LINZ’s current supplier review will continue to progress according to the planned timeframe in the meantime.
