Summary

This interim standard is effective from 20 May 2009. 

This interim standard defines the criteria that the New Zealand Geographic Board Nga Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa will use when reviewing and concurring with proposals from the Department of Conservation to assign or alter official Crown  protected area names. 

All proposals to assign or alter Crown protected area names should be in accordance with this interim standard.
