General Manager Customer Services Jan Pierce.

The Customer Services Group meets LINZ's customers' needs through new and enhanced products and services.

The Customer Services Group General Manager is Jan Pierce (pictured). Jan became General Manager in July 2009.

Prior to LINZ, Jan spent eight years as a member of the leadership team of the rural financial services company, Farmers Mutual Group. Over that time, her responsibilities included human resources, organisational development, support services, operational leadership of service centres and the development of a contact centre.

Jan started her career in the banking sector, followed by several years in the health sector, where she was the Human Resources Manager of a large Crown Health Enterprise employing over 5,000 staff.

Survey & Title Operations

Survey and Title Operations manages cadastral survey approval, title registration and electoral support. The Customer Support team manage day-to-day interaction with external customers and provide e-dealing and e-survey support via the LINZ 0800 ONLINE (0800 665 463) number. Customer Systems

Customer Systems has responsibility for internal customer system projects. They manage the Landonline application including enhancements and rollouts and providing Landonline Bulk Data Extracts. They also manage the LINZ Data Service, which provides access to nationally significant geospatial datasets that include topographic, hydrographic, survey, titles and geodetic data.

National Geodetic Office

The National Geodetic Office provides data collection, management, maintenance and distribution functions for LINZ Geodetic services, including the provision of survey control, the physical maintenance of trig beacons and other protective structures, and the maintenance of the PositioNZ network of continuous GNSS stations.

New Zealand Hydrographic Authority

The New Zealand Hydrographic Authority provides data collection, management, maintenance and distribution functions for LINZ Hydrographic services, including the provision of Notices to Mariners, nautical charts, tidal information and other publications, including their warehousing and distribution. Other activities include hydrographic surveying and the positioning of New Zealand’s international boundaries.

National Topographic Office

The National Topographic Office provides data collection, management, maintenance and distribution functions for LINZ Topographic services, including the production of printed and online maps.
