Strategic Development & Support
The Strategic Development and Support Group helps with strategic and business planning and provides a wide range of support services for LINZ. It also provides leadership to the New Zealand Geospatial Strategy via the New Zealand Geospatial Office.
The Strategic Development and Support Group General Manager is Sue Gordon (pictured).
Sue came to LINZ from the Ministry of Economic Development, and has previously worked for Fonterra, Ministry of Health and Housing New Zealand.
Strategy & Planning
The Strategy and Planning team supports the business with planning, reporting, risk and research. They ensure business activities align with LINZ’s Statement of Intent.
Finance, Facilities, and Procurement
The Finance team provides internal and external financial forecasting and reporting, and financial support services. They ensure the business follows relevant procurement processes, and provide facilities support for LINZ’s offices.
Human Resources
The Human Resources team supports LINZ performance and culture by ensuring LINZ attracts, develops, and retains skilled and engaged people.

Knowledge Management
The Knowledge Management team provides records and information management advice and support, and lead knowledge management activities. They provide library services and training and support for business recordkeeping and CRM systems.
They are also the liaison point for LINZ with the Office of the Minister for Land Information.
Strategic Communications
The Strategic Communications team manages LINZ's communications, engagement advice, and stakeholder relations. They are the first point of contact for media relations, (read LINZ's news and notices), produce corporate publications, and manage LINZ’s channels and web services.
Business & Regulatory Assurance
Business and Regulatory Assurance provides independent assurance to the Chief Executive, Executive Team and Regulators. They also provide advisory services to complement the assurance role, and to support good governance within LINZ.
New Zealand Geospatial Office
The New Zealand Geospatial Office is the coordinating body for implementing the New Zealand Geospatial Strategy.
