Accredited Geodetic Service Providers

LINZ regularly out-sources geodetic survey control and mark maintenance. This is usually done via the Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS).

LINZ maintains registers of accredited geodetic survey providers and accredited geodetic maintenance providers.

LINZ geodetic contracts may only be tendered for by accredited geodetic suppliers. This ensures that specialised survey work is done by companies with the appropriate knowledge and resources to complete contracts in accordance with LINZ specifications for geodetic contractors.

Becoming an accredited Geodetic Service Provider

Companies may be considered for accreditation by application to Customer Services Geodetic. Accreditation is initially for a period of two years, but is usually automatically renewable unless LINZ advises accreditation must be re-applied for due to a review of the process; or individual accreditation is forfeited due to unacceptable performance.

Accredited Geodetic Service Providers who bid for tendered work and are offered this work will become contractors to LINZ.

Complete the application form for accreditation as a LINZ geodetic service provider (rtf 84KB). Please also read the conditions of accreditation (pdf 11KB).

Every section in the application form for accreditation must be filled in. Once completed this is to be submitted to LINZ, together with a statement advising acceptance of the conditions of accreditation, as follows.
