High Country Objectives

Cabinet has agreed to new objectives for the South Island High Country. The new objectives outline the Government's approach to the South Island High Country and management of the High Country Tenure Review process.

August 2005

  • LINZ has selected senior valuers Donn Armstrong, Bob Engelbrecht and Rodney Jefferies to review the valuation methodology used in valuing lessor and lessee interests in tenure review, and to assess the implications of introducing market rents for pastoral leases when rents are reviewed every 11 years.
