Raster Navigational Chart (RNC) Project - NZMariner

LINZ has completed the production of Raster Navigational Charts (RNCs) for NZ users.  These are called NZMariners. Users will have chart images that can be used in electronic charting systems.  RNCs are raster copies of the New Zealand paper chart folio.

NZMariner will be distributed to users through chart retailers on a Chart CD.  Mariners can update their charts for Notices fo via monthly Update-CDs.

Mariners may use this data in an ECS along with GPS information as a navigational tool.  Data may appear different to the paper chart due to different display settings ie. various colour settings for day, evening and night.
