Coordinate & Height Orders

The accuracy of coordinates and heights is indicated by a series of classifications called Orders. Different sets of Orders have been used for different datums. These are the main Order classification schemes used in New Zealand.

NZGD2000 & RSRGD2000 Orders

NZGD2000 and RSRGD2000 coordinates are three-dimensional (latitude, longitude, ellipsoidal height). The accuracy of the coordinates is described in terms of horizontal and vertical components. more...

Normal-orthometric height Orders

Normal-orthometric heights in terms of the 13 mean sea level vertical datums are classified into five orders according to the way that they were observed. more...

NZGD1949 Orders

NZGD1949 is a horizontal datum so only provides two-dimensional coordinates (latitude and longitude). The accuracy of the coordinates is described in terms of horizontal orders based on the type of observations that were used. more...

NZGD1949 D coordinates

NZGD1949 D coordinates are coordinates that were computed and adjusted in terms of NZGD2000 and then transformed into NZGD1949 using the grid transformation. more...
