LINZ provides this service to help surveyors and conveyancers who wish to know the survey plan (Cadastral Survey Dataset) number and title references prior to lodging plans and dealings. Landonline will provide plan numbers for digital survey plans as soon as the surveyor opens the job in the Landonline workspace. For digital plans, there will be no need for any additional application for pre-allocated references. This page explains how to apply to LINZ for the pre-allocated plan numbers for plans to be lodged in paper form. You cannot use it by opening it from the LINZ website and typing in details from there. The form is self-explanatory, but a user guide (pdf 68kb) is available.
