Original Records

Sometimes land professionals and other groups need to see the 'original' of a land record. If you want to view an original (i.e. unconverted paper record), complete the Skylight order form and select 'view original' from the 'Delivery Method' drop down list. Forward your request to the appropriate processing centre and they will contact you when the land record you asked for is ready to be viewed. This will normally be within 2 working days of LINZ receiving your order.

Please note you must view all original, unconverted paper records at the appropriate LINZ processing centre. This option is not available for originals of records converted into Landonline. Converted records must be accessed through Landonline except where a converted record is unclear due to the quality of the original.
