Advising LINZ of a record that should be investigated for correction
If you identify an error in either a title or survey record that you think should be investigated and corrected by LINZ eg:
- a memorial incorrectly brought forward from an original document
- a transposed number
- an incorrect appellation
- missing parcel in spatial
Please complete a "Record Correction Request" form by supplying basic details sufficient to identify the error. Post or fax the completed form to the appropriate Processing Centre or alternatively, an electronically completed form can be emailed to the appropriate Processing Centre. Processing Centre addresses are given on the form.

save the form to your computer, so that you can type directly into the form, and then either print and post/fax it, or email it to LINZ.
Instructions to save the form to your computer
- Right mouse click over the Record Correction Request link in the Form column to the right (making sure to choose the doc format).
- Select "save target as" from the dropdown menu.
- Save the form to your computer.
You may now type directly into the form on your computer. Once you have completed it, save the form, and then either print and post/fax it, or email it to the appropriate Processing Centre email address (which you will find listed on the form).
