Information about topographic projects

• Topo50 Map Series Project about producing the new 1:50,000 scale map series with national coverage
• Emergency Services and Government Administration (ESA) project about the development of specifications for NZ Police and Fire geospatial information
• Geospatial Metadata project about development of a metadata standard for government geospatial information.

Programmes

LINZ is responsible for setting the annual topographic mapping programme. Annual topographic mapping programmes are for:

• Topographic Map Production (for scales between 1:50 000 and 1:4 000 000)
• Aerial Photography and Orthophoto production
• NZTopo Data Maintenance
