Devolution of the National Property Database - In July 1998 the Government announced that the data in the national property database (NPD) would be devolved to territorial authorities over a 12 to 24 month period from 1 July 1998. The devolution of the NPD was completed on 31 December 1999. Territorial Authorities now hold the data relating to rating valuations for their respective districts.
