Maerewhenua River Rabbit Control Operation

Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) advises that hand laying of carrot baits containing Pindone will occur in the Maerewhenua River area between 11 June and 11 July 2008.
Description of area:
The area being treated involves up to 80 ha of Crown-administered riverbed from the confluence with the Waitaki River upstream for approximately 3km.
Please note that hand laying of the toxic baits will be preceded by application of non-toxic baits to ensure against bait shyness. Toxic carrot baits will be dyed green.
This pesticide is poisonous to humans and domestic animals. The area is to be treated with caution until 11 January 2009.

- DO NOT bring dogs into the area
