Karapiro work completed

Hornwort control on Lake Karapiro was completed this morning.

The spray operation went off without a hitch after conditions settled over the weekend, allowing a helicopter to begin spraying the introduced aquatic weed yesterday at a number of sites on the lake.

A second spraying operation is planned for September 2007. Public notices advising when this work is due will be placed with local media.
