Tasman River Rabbit Control
Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) advises that aerial and hand laying of carrot baits containing Sodium fluoroacetate (1080) will occur in the Tasman River between 15 June and 30 June 2009.
Up to 2,500 ha of Crown-administered riverbed from Mount Cook airport downstream to the head of Lake Pukaki.
Please note that aerial and hand laying of the toxic baits will be preceded by application of non-toxic baits to ensure against bait shyness. Toxic carrot baits will be dyed green.
This pesticide is poisonous to humans and domestic animals. The area is to be treated with caution until 4 January 2009.

- DO NOT EAT animals from this area
- DO NOT bring dogs into the area.
