Lakeweed Control on Lake Wanaka Proceeding Today

Lakeweed control at Lake Wanaka is proceeding today. As a precautionary measure only, Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) advises users not to take irrigation or drinking water from the treatment areas until 24 hours after treatment.

LINZ also advises that for the safety of users, and for contractors undertaking the work, that Paddock Bay, Bishops Bay, Glendhu Bay and Stevensons Island not be used while the herbicide is being applied.
