Temple Peak Station Tenure Review - Notice of Preliminary Proposal

Public submissions are being sought on the Preliminary Proposal for the Temple Peak Station Pastoral Lease tenure review. Submissions close 5pm Monday 18 January 2010.
Notice is given under Section 43 of the Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998 by the Commissioner of Crown Lands that he has put a Preliminary Proposal for tenure review to Temple Peak Limited as lessee of the Temple Peak Pastoral Lease.
Legal description of land concerned
Pastoral lease land:
Run 14, Sections 47-48, Sections 52-55 and Section 60-67 Block II Earnslaw Survey District, Section 38, Sections 40-41 Block I Glenorchy Survey District comprising 7934.9218 hectares.
General description of the proposal
- 85ha approximately to be restored to full Crown ownership and control as a conservation area under Section 35(2)(a)(i) Crown Pastoral Land Act (CPLA) 1998
- 3,650ha approximately to be restored to Crown control as a conservation area under Section 35(2)(b)(i) CPLA subject to a recreation concession in favour of Temple Peak Limited under Section 36(1)(a) CPLA.
- 2,600ha approximately to be restored to Crown control as a conservation area under Section 35(2)(b)(i) CPLA subject a grazing concession and a recreation concession in favour of Temple Peak Limited under Section 35(2)(b)(i) CPLA.
- 1,600ha approximately to be disposed of by freehold title to Temple Peak Limited under Section 35(3) CPLA subject to a conservation covenant under Sections 40(1)(b) and 40(2)(a) CPLA, a public foot access easement under Section 36(3)(b) CPLA and a conservation management easement under Section 36(3)(b) CPLA.

Inspections
Any person wishing to inspect the property is advised to contact the LINZ contractor in the first instance at the above address.
Submissions
Any person or organisation may send a written submission on the above proposal to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, C/- DTZ at the above address.
All submissions are being collected and held by LINZ either directly or through its agents or contractors.
Submitters should note that all written submissions may be made available, in full, by LINZ to its employees, agents and contractors, the Department of Conservation and the public generally.
Closing date of submissions
Written submissions must be received no later than 18 January 2010.
