Mt Nimrod Tenure Review - Notice of Preliminary Proposal

Public submissions are being sought on the Preliminary Proposal for the Mt Nimrod Pastoral Lease tenure review. Submissions close 5pm, Friday 19 March 2010.
Notice is given under Section 43 of the Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998 by the Commissioner of Crown Lands that he has put a Preliminary Proposal for tenure review to Graham Bradley Patterson as lessee of Mt Nimrod Pastoral Lease:
Legal description of land concerned
- Pastoral lease land:
Rural Section 41210 and 41211, Parts Reserve 3346 and Parts Run 305 situated in Blocks III, IV, VII and VIII Nimrod Survey District.
General description of proposal
- An area of approximately 257 hectares to be restored to full Crown ownership and control as Conservation Area pursuant to Section 35(2)(a)(i) Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998.
- An area of approximately 37.1367 hectares to be restored to full Crown ownership and control as Reserve (Scenic Reserve) pursuant to Section 35(2)(a)(ii) Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998.
- An area of approximately 32 hectares to be restored to full Crown ownership and control as Reserve (Scenic Reserve) pursuant to Section 35(2)(a)(ii) Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998.
- An area of approximately 1481 hectares to be disposed of by freehold disposal to Graham Bradley Patterson pursuant to Section 35(3) Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998 subject to protective mechanisms.
Protective Mechanisms:
4.1 An easement to provide public foot, horse and non-motorised vehicle access and access for conservation management purposes shown marked ‘a-b-c’ on the designation plan pursuant to Section 40(2)(b) and (c) Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998.
4.2 An easement to provide for conservation management access shown marked ‘b-d’ and ‘e-f’ on the designation plan pursuant to Section 40(2)(b) Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998.

Inspections
Any person wishing to inspect the property is advised to contact the LINZ contractor in the first instance at the above address.
Submissions
Any person or organisation may send a written submission on the above proposal to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, C/- Mike Todd, Opus International Consultants Ltd at the above address.
All submissions are being collected and held by LINZ either directly or through its contractor. Submitters should note that all written submissions may be made available, in full, by LINZ to its employees, agents and contractors, the Department of Conservation and the public generally.
Closing date of submissions
Written submissions must be received no later than 19th March 2010.
