Review of Pastoral Lease Rent Valuation Methodologies
Summary
In July 2005, a panel of valuers was commissioned to review pastoral lease rental and tenure review valuation methodologies and outcomes associated with pastoral lands.
The Government released its preliminary response to this review in 2006.
The Government's position has important implications for pastoral leaseholders. Officials from LINZ, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Department of Conservation consulted with pastoral leaseholders and interested groups to find out what these implications are and to come up with options for addressing any adverse impacts on leaseholders.
Following this consultation, the final valuers report and the final Government response were released on 15 November 2007.
