Land Involved in Public Works

LINZ administers the Public Works Act 1981. The Act gives the Crown the power to acquire land for public works and to pay compensation. Negotiations with the landowner are undertaken by a LINZ accredited supplier. You can read more about the review of the Public Works Act.
