Geodetic Service Contracts
Accreditation programme suspended
The geodetic accreditation programme has been suspended for the 2009/10 season. This suspension will be reviewed in early 2010.
For more information, please email info@linz.govt.nz, with 'geodetic accreditation' in the subject line.
LINZ annually out-sources geodetic survey control and mark maintenance. Contractors for this work are selected through a tendering process.
Previously, only contractors who had been accredited by LINZ could submit a tender. Now, non-accredited suppliers can also apply.
Tenders for the 2009/10 summer work programme will be accepted from mid-2009.
How to tender
Register at GETS
All tenders will be accepted through Government Electronic Tender Services (GETS). Registration is required and you can do so under tender watch code 536, for mapping, surveying and other land information services. When a geodetic tender is posted, you will be advised by email.
Recent contractors
If you have carried out work under the GC18 and GC19 or GM12 and GM13 contracts (covering the summer 2007/08 and summer 2008/09 seasons), you will be evaluated primarily on your work during these contracts. Details on what you need to submit in support of your tender will be made available through GETS.
Less recent & new contractors
If you have not carried out work as part of LINZ's GC18 and GC19 or GM12 and GM13 contracts, you will need to submit a full set of documentation in support of your tender. These documents will be similar to the requirements for accreditation and details will be made available through GETS.
