Guidelines & fact sheets
Guidelines and fact sheets provide explanation of how standards can be applied and describe different services or products that are offered by LINZ.
Accuracy of the Digital Cadastre fact sheet (PDF 737KB), describes the accuracy of the LINZ digital cadastre and outlines the Spatial Parcel Improvement (SPI) project, 2010.
Survey Mark Protection Brochure (PDF 322KB), explains why it is important to protect survey marks and how to report damage or disturbances to survey marks, 2003.

Geodetic Specifications
Specifications are published by LINZ for use by geodetic service contractors and other suppliers who provide services to enhance and maintain the New Zealand geodetic network. These documents are regularly updated.
As at 22 November 2011 the current specifications are:
- Specification for Order 5 Geodetic Survey (PDF 1.2MB) (v1.0, 4 May 2011) specifies the requirements for the provision of Order 5 survey control services, including related maintenance and deliverables, to LINZ by contractors.

- Guidelines for Simplified Geodetic Control Survey (PDF 614KB) (v2.0 November 2011) guidelines for the use of surveyors submitting geodetic control data to LINZ.
- Specification for Geodetic Physical Maintenance and Geodetic Mark Inventory Service (PDF 1.2MB) (v1.0, 10 May 2011) specifies the requirements for the provision of physical maintenance and geodetic inventory services to LINZ by contractors.
