Treaty of Waitangi Settlement Names for Affiliate Te Arawa Iwi & Hapu

Pursuant to section 85 of the Affiliate Te Arawa Iwi and Hapu Claims Settlement Act 2008, the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa (NZGB) yesterday gazetted one new and one altered official geographic place name. The names took effect on 9 July 2008. You can read the full notice in the decisions of the NZGB.
