Treaty Settlement Names for Taranaki Whānui ki Te Upoko o Te Ika

Pursuant to section 85 of the Port Nicholson Block (Taranaki Whānui ki Te Upoko o Te Ika) Claims Settlement Act 2009, the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa (NZGB) yesterday gazetted eight altered official geographic place names. The names took effect 3 September 2009.
