Hue tē Taka Peninsula

  • this name proposal was published in the New Zealand Gazette on 5 November 2009, and in relevant newspapers shortly after.

Description

A small south-facing peninsula, 500 m long, of raised shore-platform with conspicuous stack rocks and raised shingle beaches, at the eastern end of Lyall Bay in Wellington, with Moa Point located at its southern tip. Topo50 map BQ31 - Wellington, GR 514 216.
