Lake Kirirua

Status

• Altered restored traditional Māori name from Kirirua.
• "Lake Kirirua" is now the official geographic name, as published in the New Zealand Gazette on 9 September 2010, and in relevant newspapers shortly after.

Description

Largest lake on Anchor Island, located at the entrance to Dusky Sound, Fiordland. Topo50 map CE04 - Anchor Island, GR 971 127.
