Poutākoro Head

Status

• Spelling alteration from Putakolo Head (recorded name)
• "Poutākoro Head" is now the official geographic name, as published in the New Zealand Gazette on 16 December 2010, and in relevant newspapers.

Description

A small distinctive headland, facing south-east, along the eastern-most coastline of Banks Peninsula, north of Hickory Bay. Topo50 map BY25 - Akaroa, GR 103 529.
