Status

  • New name for a new suburb
  • "Stonefields" is now the official geographic name, as published in the New Zealand Gazette on 16 December 2010, and in relevant newspapers.

Description

Suburb located at the site of an old quarry and an ancient Polynesian garden. Situated between the suburbs of St Johns, Tamaki, Panmure, Mt Wellington, and Ellerslie, in Auckland. Bounded generally by Lunn Avenue at south, Ngahue Drive at west, College Road at north and Mount Wellington (hill) at east. The small new development is proposed to be densely populated, with a school, town centre, shops, restaurants, parks and links with public transport. Topo50 map BA32 - Auckland, GR 640 160.
