Notice of Final Decision to Assign a Place Name in the Ross Sea Region, Antarctica

New Zealand Geographic Board logo. Notice is hereby given of the final decision of the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa, to assign the name stated in the first column of the Schedule below, to the place described in the second column of the said Schedule and that such decision shall take effect on 19th June 2002.

 

Schedule

Wratt Peak 78°12'S, 163°13'E. A peak at over 1000m in height, located approx 3km west northwest of spot height 930m (shown on the Ross Island and Vicinity map), and at the southeastern end of Chancellor Ridge, situated between Walcott and Howchin Glaciers, overlooking Walcott Bay.
