Notice of Intention to Assign or Alter Place Names
Pursuant to section 12 of the New Zealand Geographic Board Act 1946, notice is hereby given of the intention of the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa to assign new place names or alter existing place names, stated in the first column of the Schedule below, to the respective places described in the second column of the said Schedule.
Objection to the proposed new or altered place names may be given in writing, setting out the grounds for objection, to the Secretary of the New Zealand Geographic Board, care of Land Information New Zealand, Private Box 5501, Wellington, within a period of three months from the date of the New Zealand Gazette containing this notice.

Notice of the Decisions of the Minister for Land Information on Assigning or Altering Place Names
Pursuant to section 12 of the New Zealand Geographic Board Act 1946, notice was given on 31 May 2007 of the intention of the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa to assign the new or altered place names stated in the first column of the Schedule below, to the respective places described in the second column of the said Schedule. Objections were received to these proposed names and were dealt with pursuant to Section 13 of the said Act.
I hereby declare my decisions, made on 3rd December 2007, are that the names of these places shall be as referred to in the first column of the Schedule below, as described in the second column of the said Schedule, and that these decisions take effect on 13th December 2007.
