Gazette Notice - Declaring Specially Protected Area
6 August 2009 - Issue number 114
Under the Conservation Act 1987, pursuant to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation dated the 17th day of August 2008, the Conservator for the Otago Conservancy of the Department of Conservation declares the land described in the First Schedule to be held for the purpose of a conservation park to be known as the Hāwea Conservation Park and further declares that the land described in the Second Schedule, which is part of the Ahuriri Conservation Park (published in the New Zealand Gazette, 3 March 2005, No. 45, page 1114), shall be managed with, and form part of, the Hāwea Conservation Park and shall cease to be part of the Ahuriri Conservation Park.
