Address, road and places data

Official address and road name data is recorded in Landonline and in the Authoritative Streets and Places (ASP) Database.

The address and road data that is held in Landonline is available through the LINZ Data Service and through the Landonline Bulk Data Extract.

Electoral - streets and places

LINZ maintains the Authoritative Streets and Places (ASP) database for electoral purposes. It is updated on a daily basis so that the Index of Streets and Places can be published at short notice (eg. for a snap election or by-election). The Index is used by electoral returning officers to assist in registering special votes in the correct electorate on election day.
