Applying corrections to charts and nautical publications

You can keep your charts and nautical publications up to date using our Notices to Mariners. For licensed mariners and some others this is a legal requirement.

Licensed mariners and others covered by Maritime Rule 25 must keep their charts and  nautical publications up-to-date, but it is a good practice even if you are not  covered by this law.

We  recommend he British Admiralty publication "How to Keep your Admiralty Charts Up-to-Date" (NP294) for instructions on applying Notices to Mariners corrections to nautical charts. This publication is available for purchase in New Zealand from the Admiralty Chart Agent, Trans Pacific Marine Ltd.

For more information about Maritime Rule 25 go to the Maritime New Zealand website.
