Summary
Where heights are to be shown on a cadastral survey plan Rule 25 of the Surveyor-General’s Rules for Cadastral Survey 2002/2 requires the height to be stated in reference to a recognised height datum.
The purpose of this ruling is to:
(a) Specify recognised height datums, and
(b) Describe particular cases where, pursuant to s47(5) Cadastral Survey Act 2002, the Surveyor-General is satisfied that it is not necessary to fully apply Rule 25 to a survey and specifies different requirements.
