Survey Requirements for Open Space Covenants

Open space covenants are created in favour of the Queen Elizabeth the Second National Trust to preserve landscapes with aesthetic, cultural, recreational, scenic, scientific, or social value.

The Surveyor-General has issued an interim ruling to the Rules for Cadastral Survey 2010 that provides for two alternative standards to be used for open space covenant boundaries where class B would otherwise be required.

This is an interim ruling and feedback is sought on both it and the associated interpretation guide.
