- Will the pre-validation reports still produce false failures due to missing Landonline data?
- Landonline tests have been modified (and new 400 series codes allocated) to ensure that CSD observations are only tested against observations that have been captured into Landonline. Where Landonline does not have a valid observation recorded, the pre-validation report includes a new statement, for each applicable rule, indicating that the CSD contains untested observations.
Please note that the boundary and non boundary adoption tests have been combined into a single test and that separate tests have been retained (primarily for surveyor information). These can be used to check re-measurements or new definition of existing non-boundaries or boundaries.
- Adoption test: C42A and C55A => C483
- Boundary Test: C45A => C445
- Non Boundary Test: C55B => C455
- The accuracy standards in the new Rules all relate to the vectors between boundary points and non-boundary points, hence it appears that relative accuracy (internal consistency) is all that is being assessed. As such, will our surveys fail new rule tolerances if they do not pass the tests applied to the full adjustment (full or partial SDC adjustment) within Landonline?
- The Landonline validation and adjustment process will not be changing, only the accuracy parameters. All the existing tests are still required to ensure that the survey data is correct and can be integrated into Landonline. If a survey fails any of the accuracy tests, it is an indication that there is an issue needing to be resolved, which may be with the survey itself or Landonline data. If the issue relates to Landonline data, the exception process will continue to be available for surveyors to resolve these.
