Information about the Rules for Cadastral Survey 2010
This section provides information and resources to enable surveyors to become familiar with the Rules for Cadastral Survey 2010.
Interpretation guide to the rules
A two-part interpretation guide has been published to assist interpretation of the 2010 Rules. Feedback on the guide is welcome. Updated versions of the guide will be published based on feedback received. It is therefore important that you always refer to the website for the most up-to-date version.
Part one covers Rules 1-7, 13-15 and dispensations. It explains the content of the new Rules, the relationships between related rules and provides examples to aid interpretation. It also highlights differences between the requirements under the Rules and past practices.
Part two covers Rules 8-12. It provides clarification on CSD components, monumentation CSDs, mark presentation, vectors and dimensions, boundary and parcel presentation, and diagram plan symbols and text.
