Transitioning to the Rules for Cadastral Survey 2010
This section provides resources to help surveyors ensure that surveys carried out before 24 May 2010 can be lodged in terms of the Rules for Cadastral Survey 2010.
Checklist for transitioning unlodged CSDs to the 2010 Rules
CSDs submitted to LINZ after 24 May 2010 must be in terms of the 2010 Rules. A checklist has been prepared to help surveyors amend CSDs still in their Landonline workspace when the 2010 Rules come into effect. It is intended to assist surveyors to identify potential data issues that a CSD prepared under the 2002/2 Rules would have if it is subsequently submitted under the 2010 Rules. The checklist is not a complete list of all validation requirements and does not replace existing surveyor validation.

Landonline changes in release 3.4
Landonline needed to be changed to accommodate the 2010 Rules. While there were no significant changes to Landonline processes, e-survey had a number of modifications. A change summary has been prepared that outlines the major changes.

Transitioning CSDs to the 2010 Rules

Prior to the 2010 Rules coming into effect, guidance was provided to assist surveyors ensure that surveys carried out under the 2002/2 Rules would also comply with the 2010 Rules. This document described several steps that would allow surveyors to comply as best as possible with both sets of Rules and help minimise the number of changes required to affected CSDs.
