25 July 2008

In June, the expert committee reviewing the proposed Rules for Cadastral Survey held a two day meeting to evaluate some of the main issues raised during public consultation. The committee made decisions about the shape of the final Rules and developed solutions in agreement with the Surveyor-General.

The committee’s decisions were on the following matters of greatest concern to public submitters:

  • Boundary marking
  • Boundary marks
  • Accuracy tolerances
  • Water boundary accuracy
  • Area accuracy
  • Orientation
  • Geodetic connection
  • Witness marks and permanent reference marks
  • Monumentation CSD
  • CSD plan.
