Our graduate programmes

We will teach you the skills, help you build a network and give you the tools to help you. At the same time we will give you practical opportunities to keep you challenged and motivated.

Timeframe: These graduate programmes will run for a minimum of one year. 

Graduate programmes for 2019 are available within our Crown Property business group in the following teams:

The core focus responsibilities of the land and property teams include - Acquisitions, Canterbury Recovery and management of the Residential Red Zones, Marine and Coastal Area act applications, Asset Management, Crown Forestry Licences, Demolition management, Pastoral management, Biosecurity and Biodiversity, Disposals, Treaty Settlements relationships and engagement with the Te Arawhiti - the Office for Māori Crown Relations.

You will be be a Graduate Portfolio Manager:

Supporting  our Land and Property Managers by undertaking core land and property management functions, conducting research, providing advice, collaborating with customers, identifying possible improvements and sharing relevant experience. Experience in farm management is preferred.

Location: Christchurch

Contribute to development of national Biosecurity and Biodiversity strategies across government, and managing the delivery of the LINZ Biosecurity work programme.

You will be a Graduate Advisor:

Supporting the Director of Biosecurity and Biodiversity in the development of LINZ and wider sector strategies and programmes by undertaking research, providing advice, and engaging with external and internal stakeholders to share knowledge and develop mutual understanding of issues and identify possible solutions

Location: Christchurch or Wellington

Your programme could also include an opportunity to work across different teams in Crown Property to broaden your knowledge and give you an opportunity to share your skills wider.

Step 1: Your application

Step 2: Phone interview

This is your chance to sell yourself! It will allow us to get to know each other, and is an opportunity for you to showcase yourself!

Step3:  Interview

If you successfully progress to this stage an interview will be arranged, and you can also come and meet the team. If you have any questions about the programme, this is a great time to ask. We will do our best to explain as much as we can about the programme.

Step 5: The Decision

The exciting part! After the interview, we will call and hopefully share the great news with you! If you decide Crown Property is for you we will send you an offer to read though and accept. 

We would like our new graduates to start their programmes early 2019.
