Female voice: Stretching down the centre of the South Island, the high country is a taonga to many New Zealanders.
Male voice: Spread across this landscape is over a million hectares of Crown pastoral land, much of this leased for farming.
Female voice: Changing environmental, economic and social factors impact this land and the Government wants to make sure it is protected for future generations.
Male voice: Tenure review is ending and the Crown is committing to be a long-term steward of this land.
Female voice: So it is more important than ever to ensure it is managed in the best interests of all New Zealanders.
Male voice: The Government is consulting on changes to strengthen its stewardship of Crown pastoral land.
Female voice: Stewardship is a shared responsibility; which is why we need to hear from you.
Male voice: Let’s work in partnership to deliver better outcomes and support effective future management of Crown pastoral land.
