Notice is given under Section 43 of the Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998 by the Commissioner of Crown Lands that he has put a preliminary proposal for tenure review to M J Tavendale, B J Todhunter and C J Todhunter as lessee of Glenfalloch pastoral lease.
Legal description of land concerned:
Pastoral lease land: Run 118 being all the land contained Computer Interest Register CB 9K/997 (Canterbury Land Registry) comprising 10,898.1843 hectares more or less.
General description of proposal:
- 8,626 ha (approximately) to be designated as land to be restored to or retained in Crown control as Conservation Area under section 35(2)(b)(i) Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998; subject to
The granting of a grazing concession
The granting of a tourism activities concession
The granting of an aircraft tourism activities concession
- 40 ha (approximately) to be designated as land to be restored to or retained in Crown control under the Land Act 1948 under section 35(2)(b)(iv) Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998
- 2,232 ha (approximately) to be designated as land to be disposed of by freehold disposal to the holder under section 35(3), of the Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998 subject to Part IVA Conservation Act 1987, Section 11 of the Crown Minerals Act 1991 and the following protective mechanisms and qualified designations:
3.1 Conservation Covenant under section 77 of the Reserves Act 1977 pursuant to section 40(1)(b) and section 40(2)(a)&(b) of the Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998 over approximately 1095 hectares of land.
3.2 Easement in Gross for public access under section 7(2) Conservation Act 1987 pursuant to section 36(3)(b) of Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998.
3.3 Easement in Gross for Department of Conservation management purposes under section 7(2) Conservation Act 1987 pursuant to section 36(3)(b) of Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998.

Submitters should note that all written submissions may be made available, in full, by LINZ to its employees, agents and contractors, the Department of Conservation and the public generally.
