Landonline issues and latest release information.

Landonline issues - Changes to A&I Forms

Some confusion has arisen due to changes to these forms which were received too late for inclusion in Release 3.19.

The Landonline-generated A&I forms may still be used, even though these look different to the A&I forms on the LINZ and Property Law Section websites.

Updates to the Landonline A&Is  have been made to Section 4 and will be made to the ‘Notes to the Form’ in the coming days however the changes to sections 3 & 5  (reflected in the website A&I forms) will not display in the Landonline-generated A&I until May 2019. If preferred, the A&I forms are available on the LINZ website here or the Property Law Section website here

User name now displayed on login page

This change has been implemented to provide a workaround for the ‘Enter a user name’ message that some users have been getting after entering their password.

This is usually caused by a Citrix time out or a browser refresh which has resulted in your browser forgetting the user name that it originally retrieved from your Digital Certificate.

Landonline Release 3.17

Landonline Release 3.17 was carried out over the weekend 14 - 15 April 2018 as part of general maintenance for Landonline. It includes some changes for Surveyors, Professional Conveyancers and Territorial Authorities.

More information is available on the Landonline Releases and System Updates page.

Error messages at signing

We are aware that some customers are experiencing error messages when certifying and signing.

Signing can fail for a range of reasons, so you are best to contact Customer Support in the first instance at 0800 665 463 or customersupport@linz.govt.nz.

If an export of your certificate has corrupted the digital certificate file, Customer Support may be able to assist you by using a utility that corrects the file format. This usually occurs on Windows 10 computers where the file is saved in a slightly different format.

If the utility does not work on your computer, or there is a different issue, they may need to take you though the following process – note that this can take some time and you will need administrative privileges for your computer.

New cadastral rules for greater Christchurch

The Surveyor-General has made new cadastral rules specifically for cadastral surveys in greater Christchurch.  The Cadastral Survey Amendment Rules 2017 introduces Rule 20 which was gazetted on 2 March. The new rule will come into force on 24 April 2017.

The amendment can be viewed and downloaded from www.legislation.govt.nz.

The new rules do not affect Landonline.

Notice for Landonline customers using Microsoft Vista and XP

As you may be aware, Microsoft intends to withdraw extended support for Vista on 11 April 2017, and withdrew extended support for Microsoft XP in April 2014.

While we try to warn users if we become aware that any changes to Landonline are likely to block XP or Vista, we will no longer be testing for XP or Vista compatibility, so there is risk that your access could be blocked if you continue to use them.

If you are still using Microsoft Vista or XP, we strongly encourage you to upgrade to a later operating system.

To help, we provide guidance on the operating systems recommended for use with Landonline (see below). Landonline technical support is offered to customers using these operating systems.
