Free webinars: New Landonline – Dealings demo

You’re invited to join our Consulting Solicitor Andrea Watson for a free one-hour step-by-step demo of the New Landonline – Dealings application, followed by a Q&A session.

What you need to know

We’re keen for all dealing customers to start using the new application in 2023.

Since launching in November 2022 more than 900 legal and conveyancing firms have used the new Dealings application for end-to-end sale and purchase and refinancing transactions (simple Discharge of Mortgage, Transfer and Mortgage instruments).

New functionality is being added regularly.

Learning outcomes

At this session you’ll learn:

  • how to log in and use the new Landonline – Dealings application
  • how to access Landonline support (help) and provide feedback from within the application
  • what functionality is supported in new Landonline (and when to revert to Legacy)

Have you updated to a two-year Digital Certificate yet?

If you currently have a one-year Digital Certificate (DC), you’re encouraged to upgrade to a two-year DC as soon as possible.

There’s no cost to upgrade before your current DC expires, but you’ll need to ensure your proof of identity is current, as it needs to be valid when your two-year DC is issued.

If you hold a one-year DC, we’ll be in touch soon with information on how to upgrade.

New feature in Web Search | Product List

We’ve added this new feature that delivers many key functions of the Legacy Search tree.

You can now add products to your list throughout a session, then further review and/or order items from your Product List.

  • Select the product(s) you want to review or order and click ‘Add to product list’.
  • Order selections aren’t defaulted when you add an item to your Product List. Select the items you’d like to order (from your list) and either download or have them emailed to you.

Note: the option to ‘buy now’ in the multi-result screen is no longer available.

You can click across to your shopping cart at any time to see a condensed view of the items you’ve selected.

Update coming soon

We’ll shortly release a feature where you can choose to pre-select your order option, when adding multiple items to your Product List.

The options are:

  • Title with diagram
  • Title without diagram
  • Historical title
  • Guaranteed search

For more information on these changes, see our What’s new in Search page.

New Landonline – Dealings: new functionality available

Transition to new Landonline – Survey capture by July 2023

Following the release on 31 March of the new Landonline – Survey capture application, we request that all survey customers use this new functionality by mid-July.

Almost 1000 survey users (that’s over half of all Landonline survey customers) were already using the new application, as part of the pilot.

No matter what you’re working on, help is just one click away, thanks to step-by-step guides and videos.

New search function in cadastral survey guidelines

We have added new search functionality to the cadastral survey guidelines landing page on our website. This page now has a search bar that only shows you results from the cadastral survey guideline articles using key words. We’re also fine-tuning the search software so it understands the language surveyors use and what they’re looking for.

If you want to search the whole website, you can still do this with the ‘search our site’ bar at the top right of every page. You can then filter your results – for example, under the ‘Filter by topic’ heading on the left, you could select ‘Survey’ and then the ‘Cadastral survey guidelines’ option. This will show the same results as using the search bar on the Cadastral survey guidelines landing page. You can also filter on ‘Landonline’ for e-survey guidance.

Help us continue to improve our website

Our website had a facelift last year, but we’re always looking for ways to make it better.

We upgraded our website to make it easier for people to find information on New Zealand’s whenua (land), moana (sea) and arawai (waterways).

Now that it’s been live for a few months, can you let us know if we’ve succeeded?

We’re keen to know what works for you, and what doesn’t.

Please take the time to fill out our survey, responses are confidential and will be used to inform future upgrades and changes.
