Briefing

This briefing and aide-memoire provided advice to the Minister on the access provisions following consultation with key stakeholders and made other minor and technical amendments to the Bill.

Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand sought to refine the public access provisions in the Crown Pastoral Law Reform Bill.

The two papers considered views from key stakeholders and provided recommendations. These recommendations sought to balance the promotion of public access to Crown Pastoral lease land on a reasonable basis whilst protecting the property rights of leaseholders. The Bill was subsequently amended to reflect these views and recommendations.
