Ngāmotu

A peninsula on the west shores of Lake Rotomā, approximately 30km east-northeast of Rotorua. NZTopo50-BE38 123844 to 120831. Previously unnamed.

Otangiwao Point

A small point on the southwest shore of Lake Rotomā. NZTopo50-BE38 137819. Altered from Otangiwai Point

  • NZGB proposal report for Ngāmotu and Otangiwao (PDF 471KB) – The NZGB considered this proposal report to assign and alter the names of these features on the shores of Lake Rotomā at its meeting on 18 October 2019. Some of the recommendations are edited to reflect the NZGB’s decisions. The proposals were notified for one month’s consultation from 20 November 2019 to 20 December 2019. No objections were received.
