The Registrar-General of Land is responsible for the regulatory aspects of the land title system.  This includes: 

  • setting standards and guidelines  for the land title registration system
  • monitoring e-dealing compliance and conducting an assurance programme
  • considering compensation claims and reviews under the Land Transfer Act 1952

Complaints about a registered valuer

The VRB may discipline registered valuers who do not meet its standards and requirements in carrying out their work. If you are not satisfied with the valuation done by a registered valuer on a property, you can formally apply to the VRB to have your complaint investigated.
