Last week we recognised the stakeholder and industry groups that have played a key role reflecting the needs of customers in the Modernising Landonline programme.
Due to the severe weather events across the country, Minister for Land Information Chris Penk offered his thanks to all who contributed to this significant project via video.
LINZ Chief Executive Gaye Searancke thanked everyone involved at the programme’s Title and Survey Stakeholder Forum:
“The modernised Landonline platform is a world-leading property rights system and something for us all to be proud of.
“Through a commitment to innovation and creativity, this programme broke new ground: in our way of working with customers, in delivering in-house, in demonstrating that the scaled agile model is not chaos but a deliberate, structured and risk-aware approach that can be highly successful.
“Twenty-five years since the first Landonline transaction, we are now stepping into the new digital future first envisioned by LINZ in 2013. The programme’s ongoing success comes down to the strong relationships with survey and title professionals which have been built over many years," she said.
Collectively the surveying and conveyancing communities have been closely involved throughout the process of advising, testing, and piloting releases of new features and applications on the new system.
Property Law Section Executive member Duncan Terris of the NZ Law Society Te Kāhui Ture o Aotearoa said, “I've met some amazing people. It's been a fantastic journey. I'm proud to have been part of it and everyone who's been part of it should be equally proud. Thank you.”
The customer-centric approach has worked thanks to the shared interest in a successful system that delivers the property rights and responsibilities New Zealanders rely upon.
The Modernising Landonline programme Board Chair Jenn Bestwick said it’s incredibly reassuring as a Board to have a leadership team who are so open, so engaged, so honest and upfront with the issues and the challenges:
“I think as a team, both as governance and as a programme leadership team, we’ve worked really well together.”
